Strategy and Tips to Prepare for RRB NTPC 2022 Mathematics

One of the most sought-after railway exams is the RRB NTPC exam. Every year, thousands of applications are submitted for roughly 35,000 positions. This, in and of itself, exemplifies the cutthroat nature of the rivalry.

The exam is conducted in three stages i.e., Preliminary Exam (CBT-I), Mains Exam (CBT-II) and Typing Skill Test/Computer Based Aptitude Test.

Mathematics is a crucial section in both RRB NTPC Prelims and Mains exam, which can play a key role in determining your success in both the stages of the exam. It is not as difficult as it appears to prepare for the Mathematics section.

In the RRB NTPC exam, candidates are not required to prepare for higher level Mathematics. The Mathematics section of RRB NTPC basically assesses a candidate’s calculative, logical and analytical skills. Therefore, it is important that candidates must have a well-thought-out study plan and practice hard to ace the mathematics section in the exam.

On that note, let’s discuss a few mantras to crack the mathematics sections in the upcoming RRB NTPC exam.

Strategy and Tips to Prepare for RRB NTPC 2022 Mathematics

Followings Are Best Strategy and Tips to Prepare for RRB NTPC 2022 Mathematics

Bolster your Concepts

You can’t just start with any topic blindly. Some topics form the foundation for the other topics and so they need to be placed at the top of your preparation schedule. Start with the basics such as the Number System and you will be amazed to see its application on the other topics.

Practice Bulk Questions

You must practise questions in large quantities to clear your understanding on any issue. Take your time to absorb the concepts by practising a large number of questions. In arithmetic, there is no such thing as oral revision; you must practise questions in order to retain them for a long time.

Perform Mental Calculations

As you become more familiar with diverse difficulties, reduce the use of a pen. Every competitive exam has at least 5-6 questions that do not require the use of a pen. If you are unable to pick such problems at first, do not lose heart; if you are constant in your preparation, you will be able to do so gradually.

For example, after you get a hang of the type of questions while practicing Number Series questions, you will be able to decode the pattern of the series and deduce the missing number or catch the wrong number easily in your head without picking a pen.

Follow one standard book religiously

There are a lot of books available on the market, but you don’t have to read them all. Instead, choose a classic book like R S Aggarwal’s Quantitative Aptitude for Competitive Examinations to clarify your concepts and cover the whole syllabus.

Begin by focusing on one topic at a time and practicing a variety of questions related to that area. Take things slowly and focus on one topic at a time, attempting to learn the concepts.

Speed Up your Calculations

As you enter the competitive exam arena, speed can be a huge issue. You are more likely to fall behind in the competition if you spend too much time on a question. There are a variety of strategies to improve your speed, such as memorising tables, squares, cubes, and so on.

In any competition, formulas play a significant part. They were created only for the aim of reducing the time limit. As a result, don’t be afraid to master a few key formulas.

Practice Quizzes & Mock tests

Some students devote all of their time to completing the whole syllabus, but they neglect to take sample tests during this time. When they sit for the practise tests after finishing the syllabus, they forget the majority of the content. Remember that mock tests should be a part of your preparation and that you should not wait until the conclusion of the semester to do quizzes or simulated tests.

Solve Previous Year Question Papers

Candidates would be able to get a better understanding of the examination pattern as a result of this. At the time of revision, aspirants should practise past exams so that they are aware of the time restriction and can work on their weak areas.
